About Jessie.

Jessie McGrath is a Certified Orthotist and the director of Nova Orthotics. Jessie specialises in the orthotic management of children.

Jessie has specialised in orthotics since graduating with a Bachelor of Prosthetics and Orthotics (Honours) from La Trobe University in 1998.

Having worked in both private and public practice in WA and NSW Jessie has comprehensive experience in all aspects of orthotic service delivery. Jessie has a particular interest and extensive expertise in working with kids.

Previous employers include The Sydney Children's Hospital, Royal North Shore Hospital, FOS Prosthetics and Orthotics and Hunter Prosthetics and Orthotics.

About Amy-Beth.

Amy-Beth Yeo joined the Nova team as Senior Clinical Orthotist in 2021.

Amy-Beth graduated from La Trobe University with a Masters of Clinical Prosthetics and Orthotics in 2013. Amy-Beth began her career working in the Not-for-profit children’s disability care sector and has pursued her work with children ever since. Amy-Beth has experience across public and private sectors, working both interstate and internationally in the UK. 

Amy-Beth and her partner moved to Newcastle in 2021 and are enjoying growing both their life, careers and family here. 

About Lauren.

Lauren Colthorpe has been with Nova Orthotics as a certified orthotist since 2019.

Having achieved an exciting soccer career as a midfielder and defender for the Matildas, Lauren graduated with a Bachelor of Health Science (Prosthetics and Orthotics) from the University of the Sunshine Coast in 2019, where she received a university medal for academic excellence. Lauren previously completed a Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science and is passionate about helping children move safely, enjoy being active and participate in the activities they love.

Lauren has previously worked as a football (soccer) coach and an orthotic lab technician.


About Amy-Beth.
